Special ProgrammingThursday, May 1st from 6pm - 9pm: Ting Zine Expo
As part of this year’s festival we are excited to bring back the Ting Zine Expo, a celebration of DIY zine creators and self-publishers. This event will showcase publications and original materials created by Ting alumni and established Forest City zinesters. Purchase artist books, comics, zines and handmade items by the coolest creators right here at TAP.
Saturday, May 3rd from 11am - 2pm: Costumed Life Drawing: Ting Edition
This Ting edition cosplay drawing session is perfect for any artist who wants to illustrate a live model in full costume. The costume, inspired by Nelvana, Canada’s first female superhero, is designed by Erica Batten. Erica is a 2023 graduate of the Fanshawe Costume Production program and owner of Batts 'n Barnacles @batbeans. Drawing boards, donkeys and easels are available and a session coordinator sets the pace. All you need to bring is your sketch pad and favorite drawing materials (limited spots and registration is required). Not interested in drawing, the gallery welcomes you to drop in to watch!
